New Zerania is a terrestrial terraformed planet located in the Zerania System 23.2 light-years from Earth. It is orbiting around the red dwarf Gliese 667 C with a distance of 0.213 AU, the 4th planet from the star. The planet was not inhabited and unsuitable for life much as the rest of the system on other planets aswell, but it has been terraformed by the Alvazeranian civilization when they inhabited this system. During the science-fiction story, not all of the civilization has been located to New Zerania, so some are still in Lara System on planet Zerania IV
